Steel Cementitious Panel: Steel panel is entirely a steel sheel which is hermetic all around. Steel heat up quickly and get expanded after heated, then get bursted after reaching heat spot. In the world horrific 911 event, the steel frame of houses exploded after heated.
(So now architectural design requirement: Steel frame should be encapsulated by calcium sulphate. )
Calcium Sulphate Panel : Calcium sulfate panel has very good heat obstruction effect. When applying the 600℃ flame temperature at one side, the other side need to be passed heat in 2 hours. The panel strength is caused by crystallization. During the process from hemihydrate to dihydrate, the crystallization will create microporous channel all around so the flame heat generated gas can be emitted from the channel to avoid burst. Therefore, one of main reasons of some foreign countries especially HongKong use calcium sulphate panels is its permanent fireproofing.
